Lisieux Church, Kavalam
On 7 October 2018, World Malayalee Council brought new hope to flood-ravaged families of Kavalam by distributing essential home appliances at Lisieux Church. In the presence of the parish priest, church members, and WMC representatives, the relief items were handed over in a simple yet deeply moving ceremony.
For families who had lost nearly everything, these gifts marked the beginning of rebuilding their homes and lives. The church hall filled with gratitude and quiet tears of relief as the global Malayalee family reached out once again to its own.
This was one of many WMC relief efforts during the 2018 Kerala floods — a promise kept that no one would be left behind.

The World Malayalee Council (WMC) is dedicated to nurturing a global fraternity of Malayalees and individuals of Kerala origin. Through its worldwide network, WMC strives to strengthen cultural identity, promote artistic and intellectual heritage, support community development, and build lasting connections across continents.
