On 7 September 2013, World Malayalee Council Trivandrum Province (sponsored by WMC Dubai Province) brought the true spirit of Onam to hundreds of families with a grand Onam Kit distribution ceremony. The event was inaugurated by the Hon. Speaker of Kerala Legislative Assembly, Shri G. Karthikeyan, whose presence added warmth and prestige to the occasion.

Each family received a complete Onam Kit filled with rice, provisions, new clothes, sweets, and festive essentials – everything needed to celebrate the festival with joy and dignity. For many daily-wage workers, elderly citizens, and struggling households, these kits meant they could welcome Mahabali with full hearts and a full table.

From Dubai to Kerala, one Malayalee family reached out to another, proving once again that distance cannot weaken our bonds. A small kit, a big smile, and the timeless message: no one celebrates Onam alone when WMC is around.
