On 20 August 2018, ahead of Onam, World Malayalee Council brought festive joy to hundreds of families through the “Sahaya Vitharana” Onam Kit distribution. The programme was inaugurated by Hon. MLA Shri K.S. Sabarinath in a simple yet touching ceremony that celebrated the spirit of sharing.

Each Onam Kit – packed with rice, provisions, new clothes, and sweets – was handed over personally to elderly citizens, daily-wage workers, and families in need. Smiles lit up faces as the familiar fragrance of Onam reached homes that might otherwise have celebrated quietly.

True to the heart of Onam, WMC made sure no Malayalee felt left out of the festival of togetherness. One small kit, one big message: we are family, always.
